Use a focus item instead of a shield.

Warriors can be a nuker with bed of coals and meteor storm and the right equipment, however once they go off, they're pretty much useless and can only stand around and wait for their energy to regen. You'll definately rememebr it though if you get hit by one of them as you tend to die. Enhanced knockdown from stoneskin guantlets to the 3 seconds that it takes for the next meteor knockdown + burning degen from the bed of coals when you standup = dead target unless they've got a nearby monk to save them.

Ways of increasing warrior's energy:
--> Gladiator's armor (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Gladiator%27s_Armor) --> +5 Energy weapons / even using a wand / staff (lol) --> Focus instead of a shield (great for a shock warrior) IMO, Using a focus instead of a shield is a great way to make up for energy on a warrior, works best for PvP, but if you are doing it in PvE, make sure to bring a shield along. When you need the energy, just switch to the focus, use the skills and then switch back to your shield for defense. If this is for PvE, then I doubt you'll be needing more than 25 energy, unless your using some crazy build involving nuking skills. |

Also with that combo you do not sacrifice armor but as has been said, an offhand item can boost your energy by another 12 easily. |

Use a focus. Use Gladiators armor. Use a + energy axe/hammer/sword. Use a Staff. Use a Runic Shield. Use a nolani fire wand(collector outside nolani acedemy), or use a +5^50 wand...

Zealous weapons won't increase your max energy, but they do let you gain energy back at a faster rate, which is frequently more important.

Using a +5 energy weapon is stupid. That energy is one extra attack while an inherent damage mods adds to every attack as long as you meet the condition. Plus, adrenal based attacks are typicall a hell of a lot better than energy based attacks.

Totally agree, go for adrenaline based attacks or at least those that use lesser energy, if you get a DP you may find you have some useless/wastefull skill slots.

The +5 energy shield is useless, it's only AL 4. Yiou can get caster offhands with better armor stats.

I play PvE W/N a lot -- mostly sword skills + Plague Touch + Vampiric Gaze + Well of Blood. I use Gladiator's Armor (+7 energy) and a +12 off-hand to get to 39 energy.
The key skill is: Warrior's Endurance (Strength). You cap it on the desert missions, if I remember correctly. With a decent level in Strength, it'll last about 20 seconds -- you can recast every 30 -- and you'll get 3 energy every time you hit with a melee attack. The rate on a sword is 1.33 sec/attack, so in 20 seconds that's 15 hits = 45 energy gained. There is a ceiling to the energy you can gain from Warrior's Endurance... 22 or 23, thereabouts. But combined with normal energy regen. you'll usually be in the 20-30 range throughout the melee if you don't spam your energy skills. No shield you say? Once the first critter drops and you get Well of Blood going you'll be standing in a +5 health regen circle, which more than makes up for not having the shield armor bonus. (Without too much modification I can even solo farm Ettins without too much drama.) Also, because Warrior's Endurance is in a attribute with a lot of other commonly used tank skills -- Endure Pain, Power Attack (for stuff that mucks with your adrenaline), Rush, Sprint, etc. -- you can concentrate your points. I put all my points in just Sword, Strength, and Blood. Warrior's Endurance! |

I wouldn't really advise using a focus, since a you need all the armour you can get when you're frequently in the enemies backline. Energy management should be possible with just Gladiator's Armour and a Zealous weapon.
